About Blane Savage

Blane Savage, who is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, teaches at the Ayr campus of the University of West Scotland. He lectures in Creativity for the Masters Degree in Creative Media Practice.

In addition to creative industry consultancy expertise, Blane is passionate about personal development. He is a member of the Scottish Institute of Hypnotherapy and is a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programming training specialist and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, with his own clinical practice. He is currently researching into the psychology of creativity and has published several papers on this subject. He is also a research associate at the Centre for Creative Futures.

Blane has built a reputation as a clinical hypnotherapist working therapeutically with a range of clients including a number of stand-up comedians, controlling stress levels, developing their emotional and creative management skills and optimising their on-stage performances. He has also been developing his own skills as a standup comedian, recently performing stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Festival and in stand-up venues in Glasgow.
